Service Engineer ( Lift - Crane - Appliances)

Service Engineers with experience of servicing and repairing Lifting Machinery both Electrical and Hydraulic required to work on MOD assets within Portsmouth. Duties and responsibilities include: Carryout fault diagnosis and undertake repairs of marine lifts, cranes, and davits both hydraulic and electrical. Apply knowledge, skill, and experience to resolve issues and faults associated with the operation and performance of the Systems. Support LEEA qualified colleagues to complete thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts, lifting appliances and associated systems. Be able to engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone or face to face to discuss technical issues and problems. Support the wider Marine Systems Teams in their activities to maintain utilisation. Complete technical documentation and reports aligned to the service of the plant and equipment. The ideal candidate will have: Maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis experience of Lifts, Cranes and lifting appliances. Detailed technical knowledge and broad experience of Mechanical (Hydraulics) and Electrical Systems, specifically within lifting appliances and lifts. Knowledge of the relevant legislation and inspection requirements. Will be able to demonstrate where scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, Setting to Work, fault diagnosis and defect rectification. LEEA Qualification advantageous but not essential The role attracts a base salary of up to £44,600 pa. In addition, the position includes a generous employment package.
