Head of Production (Operations)

Kinetic are seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Production (Operations) for a permanent role with a Global business in the Preston area! Head of Production (Operations) Location: Blackburn/Preston Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 Bonus: 15%, Company Car Allowance (£680 pcm), Private Health Care, Relocation Assistance Work Hours: Monday - Friday (On-site) Reports: Production Manager/Equivalent 6-8 people, overall oversight of 500 in facility Sr Report: Production Director International Scope: Some overseas correspondence Travel: Unlikely but possible Experience Level: Degree qualified, more experience the better Type of experience: Large business (MNC's), complex manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, OEM etc.), culturally similar Requirements and Responsibilities: * Leadership experience of large manufacturing and production teams - managing and motivating large teams, delegating tasks to ensure equal distribution, provide guidance and support to those in need * People focused - prioritise the wellbeing of the overall workforce, champion safety to ensure that each team member remains safe and comfortable at work, invest in L&D, recognise achievements in the workplace to optimise productivity * Experience with production, continuous improvement and automation - oversee production processes, promote CI within the facility to enhance productivity and quality, analyse production date to identify areas of improvement and to streamline processes * Managing Industrial Relations experience preferred * Technological and cultural change - lead initiatives to promote technological advances and enhance and improve overall output, foster culture of innovation and inspire employees to achieve top results * Track record of achievements in Health and Safety, Customer service, manufacturing, productivity etc... * Strategy Development - develop long and short-term strategies based on goals and achievements, set clear objectives and KPI's, collaborate closely with the board and senior management team to propose the best and most effective strategic options * Working within an OEM producing detailed electro/mechanical sub and final assemblies using the latest advanced manufacturing techniques.
