Logistics and Packing Operative

Kinetic PLC are excited to be working alongside an extremely successful engineering company based in Glossop. We are helping them to recruit a temporary Logistics and Packing Operative. This is not a run of the mill packing operative role. It is slow paced as accuracy is key!! You are not working on a production line - you will be stood at a bench within the Engineering Division. You will be packing high value components that vary from the size of a pin to the size of a ball. The role will also involve some etching on the components. Some of the duties you will have as the Engineering Packing Operative are listed below: * Packing of high value components from the work order provided * Etching/Engraving numbers onto the components - manually or using the etching machine * Labelling the components and placing in the appropriate boxes * Working in a slow paced engineering environment * Preparing orders for dispatch, making sure of traceability at every step * Completing shipping documents * Maintaining a clean working environment To be successful with this temporary position, you must have the following * Ability to work methodically and accurately * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Computer literate as you will be using to print and enter details on to labels * Experience of etching either manually or using an etching machine * Comfortable with lifting components of varying weight * Excellent attention to detail * Able to get to Glossop with ease. The Engineering Logistics and Packing Operative will receive the following * £12.60 per hour * Half day on a Friday * Monday to Thursday: 7am to 4pm, Friday, 7am to 1pm * Some flexibility is offered in the hours * Opportunity to work for a busy, reputable engineering company If you can get to Glossop, have the experience that is required then click the apply button for the chance to work for a great company!
