We are seeking a skilled Stores & Yard Person with expertise in stores and inventory management tasks and able to operate a Counterbalance FLT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock, issuing stock and tools to employees, and ensuring smooth operations in the Stores and Yard. You must have a current driving licence to be considered for this role
Salary: £24127 per year plus company benefits including Pension.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday 06:00 to 14:30, 30 minutes unpaid lunch break and two 15 minute paid breaks
Stores & Yard Person Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT)
* Conduct stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
* Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
* Book in stock onto and out of the system accurately
* Liaise with suppliers to manage deliveries and returns
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Follow all health and safety guidelines
Stores & Yard Person Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Valid/Refreshed Counterbalance FLT licence
* Full driving licence
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in using inventory management systems, experience of Sage 200 would be beneficial
* Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks
