Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrically bias Maintenance Engineer looking for your next permanent position? Is Cardiff docks an area you can easily commute to work? (you'll need your own transport) Would a salary of £39500 be OK for you plus overtime? Are you happy working a 06.00 to14.00 - 14.00 to 22.00 shift rotating? Happy to work in a dusty environment doing PPM and reactive maintenance? If you have answered "yes" to the above questions then this may be the right role for you. Duties will include; -Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and deal with machine down-time efficiency. -Action repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised -Electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance -Provide assistance in troubleshooting and identification of equipment problems -Maintain relationships with production operators to foster a good team environment when working on the equipment. -Write SOP's and other technical documents in support of the engineering department as well as the end users. -Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices. Skills required -Electrical bias with mechanical skills. -Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent. ONC/HNC in engineering or equivalent. -Experience gained from food manufacturing -Able to demonstrate a methodical approach to fault finding, including PLC's Familiar with Health & Safety rules, regulations and best practices Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
