Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Long-term contract Newcastle Upon Tyne £39-40k per annum (plus shift allowance when on shifts) Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a long term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer skills and experience; Experience of machine tools Formal apprenticeship/ 5+ years engineering experience Working in a machine tool environment preferred Mechatronics/cross discipline trained Competent with computing, MS applications Experience with machine tool geometric alignments/ adjustments Basic understanding of induction motors Knowledge of the operation of relays/ contactors/ electro-mechanical valves/pumps Experience with the use of test equipment Understands basic electrical drawings Understands advanced hydraulic drawings Understands advanced pneumatic drawings Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl basic diagnostics, alarm messages, I/O If you are interested and have the relevant skills and experience please apply via the link provided.
