Assembly Operative

We are currently seeking experienced Assembly Operators to join a world leader in engine-boosting turbo systems in the Handforth area. This is a Monday to Friday role, with standard hours totalling 37 per week. Duties include: * Working within the re-manufacturing area * Reassembling various-sized turbochargers and performing quality checks to ensure compliance with job specifications * Using various hand tools to assemble different-sized turbos * Adhering to high specifications and individual targets * Being flexible to work in different areas and understanding the processes * Conducting final quality checks on all assembled turbochargers before dispatch Skills required: * Previous assembly experience and proficiency in using different hand tools * Health and safety consciousness * Physical fitness to carry out heavy manual duties * Good communication skills Benefits: * Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4.30pm, and Friday from 8am to 1pm. There is potential for shift working (6am to 2pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays, or 2pm to 10.30pm with a 1pm to 6pm finish on Fridays). * Pay is £12.04 per hour for day shifts, with overtime at time and a half on weekdays and Saturdays, and double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Pay rate will increase 1st April 2025 to £12.21 After 26 weeks, the rate will increase to £13.38 per hour.
