CAD Engineer - Electrical

Our Client based in Boldon Colliery are recruiting for an Electrical CAD Engineer to be based within their engineering team. Package - Permanent Salary Up to 35k depending on experience Hours of Work Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 5pm Friday 08:30am - 1.30pm Responsibilities - You will be responsible for Producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control. Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications and responsibility for the following: * Solidworks / AutoCad operator focusing on electrical requirements of the Engineering Dept. * Knowledge / experience of electrical control panel design for industrial equipment. * Read, understand and produce LV Electrical front of panel layout drawings, LV electrical control schematics and interconnection diagrams derived from customer, and internal, specifications. * Liaise with workshop staff to create SOP's and streamline electrical equipment design and build within the company. * Good database and computer skills. MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc) * Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and also manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOM's. Skills/Qualifications - * Ability to discuss drawings and technical details * Experience of using AutoCad is essential * Experience of using Solidworks is desirable * Electrical / control knowledge is essential * Knowledge of production engineering practice * ONC or Equivalent qualification required Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.
