Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

We are currently looking for a Mechanically biased, Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join an innovative, renowned manufacturing business based in Birtley. The Multiskilled Maintenance Technician role is permanent and will receive a salary between £36,750 and £42,574, Overtime is available and will be required to be part of an on call rota. *As a Multiskilled maintenance technician, you will respond to and work on electrical and mechanical faults, breakdowns and preventative maintenance tasks. A number of tasks will require individuals to work at height so individuals must be comfortable in this environment *You will support, engage and interact with departments and individuals across the site and with external subcontractors and suppliers *You will focus on adding value. Your role will require you to work to company standards, processes and procedures and you will support functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested *The maintenance technician is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity - showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills and adopting a proactive approach to developing new skills Typically, the work would cover a broad range of activities including installation, testing, fault finding and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment. This requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines. *Read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to maintain components, equipment and systems *Carry out condition monitoring of plant and equipment *Carry out planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment *Carrying out complex fault diagnosis and repair activities on high-technology engineered systems, such as: Maintaining mechanical equipment *Maintaining fluid & pneumatic power equipment *Maintaining electrical & electronic equipment *Maintaining process control equipment *Carrying out confirmation testing and subsequent smooth hand over of equipment & plant support the installation, testing and commissioning of equipment The Multiskilled Maintenance Technician will be time served and experienced within the mechanical maintenance field.
