Manual Miller

Kinetic are recruiting for a Manual Miller to work alongside our client based in Cramlington on a permanent contract The manual miller will be responsible for machining components to a high standard and machining parts to customer requirements Responsibilities: * Machine components in accordance to the route card and technical drawings * Assist in the fitting of components * Identify the operations which need completing from the drawings issued * Operate and set manual milling machines in accordance to customer specifications and Company standards * Identify the required speeds and feeds as per each component requirement * Operate conventional milling machines to produce high precision parts, to exact standards * Correctly position the component into the conventional machine, with the assistance of lifting equipment if necessary * Responsible for their own quality; measuring first-offs before proceeding with any additional machining with hand measuring equipment such as verniers and micro meters * Establish tools required for each task and escalate any issues to the Production Supervisor * Follow instructions as per Company procedure, practises and policies * Ensure all work meets the requirements of OEL's Health & Safety Systems & Procedures Knowledge, Skills, Education, Training and Experience: * Previous work experience in a similar role is essential * Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical engineering drawings is essential * Manual handling and Overhead Crane Training/Experience is essential * Relevant apprenticeship (or equivalent) or other qualification in Engineering/Machining is desirable Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.
