I am looking to recruit an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work for a manufacturing company in Barrow-In Furness, the company is leader in its field and champions continuous growth for its employees.
This is a great opportunity to work as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the reliability of our site's operations. Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support to our production department, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager
Candidates will need to have an Mechanical Maintenance background in a Manufacturing environment with fault finding experience and be time served and come with suitable qualifications.
Duties include;
*Perform a leadership role for all the Mechanical resources.
*Responsible for owning all process mechanical initiatives and tasks.
*Capable of leading and motivating a team by setting objectives and driving performance management.
*Train, develop and up skill personnel by means of on-the-job as well as technical and generic training.
*Manage Reliability Projects.
*Manage contracts and contractor control procedures and rules for the department.
*Requires understanding of Environmental, legal and statutory requirements.
*Ensure assets are maintained in a "Safe to operate" condition at all times while promoting all aspects of safe working practices to meet all safety and housekeeping objectives of the plant.
*Contribute to the development of sound safety programmes and maintenance of good working conditions, adherence to organization and legal safety rules and regulations.
*Continually comply with all regulatory & control requirements, internal controls, while at all-times driving accountability and compliance on the asset.

Rate - Days (37.5 hours per week) £25.50 per hour PAYE
