Quality Assurance Officer - Night Shift

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work the night shift at one of Huddersfield's top manufacturers. Pay: £38,712.06 per annum Hours: Monday to Thursday 22:00 to 06:00 and Friday 17:00 to 22:00 Excellent company benefits including company pension, health insurance, life assurance and 33 days holiday including the option to buy up to 5 extra days! The Role The QA Officer provides vital Quality on the Shop Floor presence, as well as ensuring a range of tasks are carried out effectively in order to maintain standards in operational-facing Quality Assurance. You will have an important role in carrying out investigations into deviations and complaints, as well as overseeing and coaching investigators from other departments in their investigations. You will work at a very practical level with the regulations, guidelines and values that ensure quality products and maintain Quality compliance. Role Responsibilities Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and relevant international standards. Deviation investigations, including input to risk assessments and root cause analysis. Complaints investigations, including input to risk assessment and root cause analysis. Recommend appropriate actions and initiate through relevant systems (e.g. CAPA, Change Control). Generation of product quality review reports. Management of retained samples. Archiving activities associated with quality documentation. Batch review activities of cosmetics and foods. Monitor and report on quality KPIs and key quality data as required. Provide Quality input and support to relevant meetings. Ensure activities and changes to equipment and working practices are made in line with guidelines laid out in the 'Orange Guide'. Ensure all improvement opportunities are in line with ISO standards. Ensure all manufacturing operations are defined and documented to ensure optimum performance. Work to an agreed program of priorities. Provide regular feedback and progress reports. Proactively manage resources to ensure deadlines are met. Required Qualifications and Experience Degree level education in a related subject / a minimum 2-year professional experience in quality management system.
